DIY Makeup Remover

I used to go through so many bottles of Micellar water to remove the layers of my makeup until I discovered this DIY remover. I've never looked back since swapping over to this and I have found it to work really well for my skin. It's saved me so much money because branded makeup removers can be quite costly. Also, it allows me to know exactly what i'm putting on my skin, which is great and I get to reduce my plastic waste!

Materials

  • 2 tbsp Witch Hazel (alcohol free)

  • 2 tbsp Jojoba oil

  • 1 tbsp Aloe Vera gel

Directions

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well. You can also add in a couple drops of your preferred essential oils. Funnel into your container. Spray or pour onto your reusable pads and gently wipe over your face. I store mine in a dark amber glass spray bottle (as pictured) to ensure the sunlight doesn't affect the composition. Make sure you have a funnel to hand. If refrigerated this will keep for three weeks so make sure you only make as much as you need for that time period. Alternatively you can add a preservative.

It's important to note that my skin isn't sensitive or spot prone, if your skin is it might take some adjusting to this or alter the ingredients to cater to your skin type. For example if you have dry skin try adding more oil.

I hope you find this useful, give it a like if you do!
